Montego Bay Airport

We recommend flying into Sangster International Airport, located in Montego Bay, Jamaica. It is about an hour and half drive to the wedding resort.

Couples Swept Away Shuttle

If you are staying at Couples Swept Away, the resort offers a shuttle to and from the airport. You must book the shuttle before your arrival. Once you have booked plane tickets, contact the reservations at crres@couples.com or groups@couples.com and provide your flight information. When you reach the airport in Montego Bay, there is a Couples lounge where you can wait for the shuttle. The shuttle will arrive within 25 minutes to take you to Couples Swept Away.

Rental Car

You also have the option of renting a car from the airport or other car rental services and driving yourself to the resort. This has always been our preference.

The drive is beautiful, although be aware that the streets are narrow with some pot holes. The path takes you through a main town that is bustling with people. Then you'll find yourself passing through a small fishing town. The odds of passing a car full of lively people and loud music is very high!

Get ready to drive on the "right side" of the car and the "wrong" side of the road. Ali only started driving up the wrong side of the freeway one time - we are certain you'll pick it up quickly too!

While car rentals are available at the airport, we prefer using a private service. They will pick you up at the airport and drive you to their rental office about 5 minutes away. This was fast and easy, allowing to get on our way to Negril as soon as possible.

Passport

Your passport or other travel documents must be valid for at least six months from the intended travel date, have a photograph, and establish the visitor's identity and nationality.

Visa

Some countries require an entry visa, which is usually issued by a Jamaican Consular office. However, UK and US passport holders can visit Jamaica for up to 90 days without a visa.

Other documents

Visitors must also present a completed and signed Immigration/Customs C5 form, and evidence of sufficient funds to support themselves during their stay. They must also have a return or round trip ticket to another country.

Online declaration

Visitors must complete the online passenger declaration form before checking in for their flight to Jamaica. This form can be found at https://enterjamaica.gov.jm.
